Message of Peace, Tranquility, Harmony and Reconciliation – Come Ohio Convention
As January 16th 2010 approached, the campaign of the North America APC National Delegation gained momentum everyday. Â As the saying goes “It takes two to Tango.” Well, it also takes two to argue. It is impossible to have an argument with someone or a chapter president if they don’t participate in any clandestine activities or “Yukie-Yukie” in delegate counts. Paradoxically, if our goal is to reach a solution and create a win/win outcome in Ohio, arguing isn’t the route to take. Instead the best way to reach a collaborative conclusion is to identify the dirty politics in play and ask questions.
We were once taught by our parents to ask questions, so you can hear in their own words the solutions to the problem that raises the question. In fact it is said that some political bullies do not ask questions. Painstakingly, the underprivileged and the disadvantageous cannot hear the answers they need. Questions allow the person to take ownership and responsibility for the solution. Although there are times when the figures do not match up but we already know the answer.
Likewise in our political organization – APC-NA, it is more politically well-bred to allow our own delegates from different chapters to come to Ohio on their own and listen to the good words of wisdom from their future leaders. The same works in an argument. If all you want is to come argue, well, questioning the electoral board malignantly or vindictively isn’t likely to be helpful. If you want to co-create a good political solution during this upcoming Ohio convention, questioning the electoral board in a peaceful manner can assist you in creating a better solution that will be agreeable to both parties.

To all you political die hards, I am urging every member coming to this APC-NA convention in OHIO to please come with PEACE, work for PEACE and leave Ohio with PEACE. For any problems like food, money or lodging, please ask questions. Don’t argue with the electoral committee, stay calm and focused on the goal to get the respect of your political pride. Many contestants will not be happy campers when they are losing. However, at the end of the day we all should get what we want without arguing or disagreeing. Questions will help our electoral board to answer the questions amicably and help other candidates to stay focused without arguing. Unless you just want to have a good argument, avoid defending your position and focus on asking questions. Questions take the heat out of the situation and allow both parties to view the problem from a different perspective. Even if you know the answer, the other person will be more open to the solution if they are allowed to discover it on their own.
So, please watch your footsteps, and watch your delegate selections. Be careful with your delegate counts. Don’t argue with the Electoral Board. UNCONVINCED – Just ask questions, get impressive answers, and let peace reign at the Ohio APC Convention.  Â
