Latest reports reaching this press indicate that the District Agriculture Officer II Western Rural, Mrs. Phebian Fofanah, is alleged to have held onto two official XL Motor Bikes that were supplied to extension field workers of the Ministry.
According to an official document in the possession of this press, on 30th of November, Concern World Wide supplied 2 official XL Bikes to one Mr. Moses A.S. Bangura deployed at Newton and one Mr. Ben Marrah who is attached at the Lumley area of operations.
Speaking to this press Mr. Moses A.S. Bangura said they have served the Ministry in various parts of the country since 18th March 1976. He pointed out that following the difficulties they were facing during their work it was on that note Concern World Wide came to their rescue in 2010. Mr. Moses A.S. Bangura noted with dismay that even when these 2 official XL bikes were supply to them, the Ministry refused to pay the licenses and insurance for these bikes.
He noted that he took up the issue to his boss Mrs. Phebian Fofanah that she has converted the XL that was assigned to his colleague Mr. Ben Marrah for her own personal use. According to Moses Bangura, he noted that his boss is using her official status to seize the bike from him and his colleague despite his attempt to surrender the bike to the Newton Police.
Meanwhile Mr. Moses A.S. Bangura is calling on the authorities that are concerned in the matter, including the Agriculture Ministry, and Concern World Wide Administration on this matter.
Contacting Mrs. Phebian Fofanah on the above, she denied the allegations but confirm to this press that the 2 XL bikes are in her Youyi Building office.
