As Freetown Goes Red… Citizens Say Thumbs-up President Koroma
Marking the last day of political rallying for the All People’s Congress (APC) party, on Sunday 11th November, people of the central district of Freetown said their colorful demonstration was the insignia of continuity for the president in the forthcoming November polls.
The streets of Freetown were painted with the aura of jubilation and smiles, pointing to the Commander in Chief manning the affairs of state that he deserved re-election for a second term. When this press put out its wide search for truth in the ongoing saga; claims being made by some opposition parties that chunks of party supporters and sympathizers were shipped or better said transported to garner political momentum. The balance of argument through gauged minds and views of Freetonians, pointed that the crowd-poll of people in the rallies are just a small part of what they will demonstrate in the ballot boxes for the APC party.
From across the peripheral of the East stretching forward to the West of Western Area a spicy jubilant march of people partying with the regalia of the APC party colors bearing faces of the many candidates vying for the various contestable positions rallied. Gangs of crowds and moderate Freetonians responded to our reporters across the Freetown municipality that this election is called pay-back-time to the president, for what they called: his developmental strides in bettering and changing the face of his people and country at large.
In his un-august message since his campaign trail, President Ernest Bai Koroma has once again called on all Sierra Leoneans that the state is bigger than any, and as such any saboteur to our hard-earned peace and quiet through organized election violence will be strongly dealt with according to the dictate of our Constitution. He went on to allay the fear of all Sierra Leoneans that he has invoked military and police officers (MACP) so as to ensure a peaceful and credible outcome of the electioneering process.
