On the 9th November 2012, this medium conducted an interview with both parties over the brawl. The APC Chairman, Ibrahim Sesay, explained that he was at the party office at Savage Square when he saw some members of the opposition SLPP led by Parliamentary Aspirant, Abdul Aziz Carew passing along Savage Square, singing invectives and abusive songs at their party office.

He went on to say it couples with an ongoing publicity of one local based social organization called Progressive Youth Organization when they saw stoned and cutlasses advancing at them. He said he relegated to his house, in which they broke the window panes.  He said he was able to distinctively earmark Aziz with the boys also attempting to burn down their party office. He said he called the police for help, however, by the time the police came Aziz and his boys had vandalized and destroyed valuable things.

Interviewing Abdul Aziz Carew at his house at  No 9 Canteen Street, he explained that he was not even at the house as alleged for machinating the violent action as untrue and baseless.   He said it was in fact the APC party boys that victimized a young boy called Amadu Fadika who ran into their house with his T-shirt all drenched in his blood.  The wife of Aziz Haja Carew also explained that the boy-cum victim narrated the story as to why he was victimized saying he saw and heard the above names Alhaji Lamin, Alpha Savage, Abdul Lamin Canacius, Tania Deen, and Ibrahim Sesay, saying they wanted the head of Aziz.

She noted furthered that the APC thugs went ahead in an attempt to burn-down the house of the elder brothers houses of Aziz at Savage Square. Haja Carew also noted that she was the one that called the police emergency line.
