Windfall for Port Loko Government Hospital

Speaking to this press Dr Lebbie commended the Free Heath Care Initiative that has been championed by the current government.  He noted that before this time Port Loko was facing enormous numbers of teenage pregnancies, which according to him is a changed phenomenon. He also commended the Port Loko District Council for cooperating with them in pursuing medical challenges.

However, Dr Lebbie said they are co-collaborating with stakeholders, including Health for A/C Cocation in the district. He further said there are over 125 Public Medical Health Units (PHU’s) in the district and in the case of emergencies the ambulance is always at standby to attend to such distress calls.

Finally, Dr Lebbie commended UNICEF for supplying enough medical drugs and the additional infrastructures to cope with the overly populated admission cases.
