Waterloo Wallows in Sub-standard and Narcotic Drugs

Citizens residing in the Waterloo community are raising serious concern over the increase in production of substandard drugs floating around the community.

Speaking to this medium in pain and tears, Madam Jeneba Kamara of Gbaflla Community raised concern to the Government and the Pharmacy Board for lack of proper monitoring. Madam Jeneba pointed out that it is no secret that the proliferation of narcotic shops and stalls operating illegally are on the increase.

She cited a shop called ‘ANATAH PHARMACY,’ which she says was registered as a retail entity but is now dealing with exclusive hard substantive drugs. She also named several examples of sub standard stalls witting in the Waterloo community.

Meanwhile, in a bid to strike the balance of argument with the Proprietor of the ‘ANATAH PARMACY’ our reporter attempted to get his own side of the story, but he refused on the claim that he had had a discussion with a senior official of the pharmacy Board, Mr. E Z Bangura.

According to Mr. E Z Bangura, he said the Pharmacy Board has a legal team that is coordinating with the police by carrying out exercises related to such allegations, noting that it could be recalled that Lunsar, Port Loko, and Makeni have all faced the same allegations of sub-standard drug allegation.
