AIG warns political parties to stop using school going pupils
The Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) eastern region Sorie B. Kargbo (in photo) on Friday 2rd November 2012 threw a strong warning to all political parties to stop using school going pupils especially those in school uniform and are also below the age of voting as it is against the 1991 Constitution of the Republic of Sierra Leone.
Sorie B. Kargbo reiterated that the warning came as a result of the intelligence received from the public that during the second day of campaigning for main opposition Sierra Leone People Party (SLPP) that school going pupils of the Islamic secondary School Kenema and Holy Trinity secondary school were dressed in their school together with the SLPP supporters along the Blama road highway jubilating and as the commander of the eastern said he will like to be seen political parties using pupils in uniform when they are having their rallies.
Reading the notice issued by the police the Local Unit Commander (LUC) of the Kenema police division CPS David Sahid Koroma said that it has come to the notice of the police and other security apparatus of the eastern region that party members of the SLPP are allowing school going pupils with and without uniform to join the campaign of the 2rd November 2012,he said it should be realized that this is against the rules and regulations of NEC, PPRC and Human Right Commission of Sierra Leone and that MOU was sign by all political parties with the PPRC did not accommodate such action.
David Sahid Koroma reiterated that the police are therefore advising executive party members of the SLPP to take immediate action by withdrawing all school pupils out of the streets for the rally and that any ugly incident which might have occurred in the participation of school going pupils during the rally and that it is expected that members of the organizing group of the SLPP party would be held responsible and therefore warn them to stop using underage children.

I think the police are uneconomical with the truth. Intelligence report from whom?
5th November 2012If the rally was held on a school day, the pupils are expected to be in class. If they were not in class but actually dancing with the SLPP supporters, the first call of point should be the school and the school authorities. Did the police think about contacting the school authorities to know why the kids were not in their classes? Nope! Instead like every one trying to catch the EYE of the Pa ( Since the PA introduced sycophancy as the only criteria to catch his eye), the police bosses in Kenema especially the 70 years old AIG Sorie Borbor Kargbo aka English Dog, a man that is kept in the force and Eastern Region with instructions to protect the APC and his Limba brother president at all cost, can come up with such ridiculous statement against the SLPP when 70% of the kid that took to the street in the Kenema township during the APC rally were school going pupils.
