36 Sierra Leone Imams Bag Schorlarships to Study in Kuwait

The dynamic Ambassador, His Excellency Ibrahim Bakarr Kamara through his diplomatic negotiation at a meeting with the Under Secretary of the Ministry of Endowment and Islamic Affairs, Dr. Adel A.A.Falah, 36 Imams from Sierra Leone will be going annually to Kuwait for further studies.
In a telephone interview with the Head of Chancery, Mohamed S. Conteh last night, he says the Islamic Cultural Centre through the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowment has obtained 18 Kuwaiti Visas for the first batch of Imams that will be arriving in the State of Kuwait in November 2012 and the second batch of 18 are expected to arrive in April 2013.
In line with the vision of His Excellency Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, in his agenda for prosperity, this educational pursuit for our Islamic religious leaders would be extended to all the nooks and crannies in Sierra Leone.
In another related development, the Kuwaiti Mission is almost completing negotiations with the Kuwaiti authorities for the commencement of the construction of a multi – purpose Islamic Cultural Centre in the Northern Provincial headquarters of Makeni.
