Ambassador Kamara Presents Letters of Credence

Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to the State of Kuwait, His Excellency Ibrahim Bakarr Kamara recently  presented his Letters of Credence to His Majesty, Sultan Qaboos Bin Said Al- Said of the Sultanate of Oman.

In his presentation at a well-attended and colourful ceremony, Envoy Kamara conveyed warmest fraternal greetings and facilitations from His Excellency Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, the Government and People of Sierra Leone to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said Al- Said of the Sultanate of Oman.

Ambassador Kamara intimated the Sultan that President Koroma won the November 17, 2012 elections with a landside victory which endorsed him for a Second term of 5 years as President and Head of State of the Republic of Sierra Leone.

The Ambassador briefly outlined the tremendous achievements of the President in his Agenda for Change and developmental aspirations in the Agenda for Prosperity in the next five years of his reign.

During their discussions, Ambassador Kamara solicited bilateral co-operations from the Ruler of Oman in the areas of Trade, Education, Energy and Health sectors.

In his response, the Sultan of Oman assured Envoy Kamara of the Sultanate’s unflinching support in the above mentioned areas. He also extended   an invitation to Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, President and Head of State of the Republic of Sierra Leone to pay an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman at a suitable date through the normal diplomatic channel.

In a move to strengthen the bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries, Ambassador Kamara held fruitful discussions with the Under Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Minster of Trade and Industry, the Minister of Endowment and Religious Affairs and the Chairman of the Chamber   of Commerce of Oman.  Present at the ceremony also was Envoy Kamara’s Head of Chancery Mr. Mohamed Sorie Conteh.
