Senior Lands Official in Alleged Land Scam

Reports reaching this press allege that Alhaji Dumbuya, a senior official of the Ministry of Lands, Housing, and Country Planning has been named in a dubious land deal in the controversial Kossoh Town land saga.

According to aggrieved residents of the Kossoh Town Community, in 2007 Dumbuya was assigned to plan and plot pieces of land in the community and in the course of discharging his official duties he went on to swindle a vast portion of land which he converted for his use but subsequently sold part of it.

An aggrieved youth, Papa Kamara, reported that the pieces of land that were converted by Dumbuya were meant for community development purposes but since then all efforts to bring the Lands official to book have remained futile.   Papa Kamara further disclosed that Dumbuya currently owns three houses which were erected from proceeds for the sale of community land and another seven plots of land which he has already reserved for his personal use.

Sources have further revealed that Dumbuya is working in connivance with a few ill-motivated community elders that are bent on depriving the entire community of various social amenities which are supposed to have benefited the people of Kossoh Town.

Aggrieved community elders are therefore calling on the attention of the Anti-Corruption Commission and the government to probe Mr. Alhaji Dumbuya and his cabal.

Dumbuya was however contacted at his Youyi Building office but debunked the allegations as blatant lies.
