On lawlessness & disobedience… Police lashes Maada Bio
The recalcitrance of Rtd. Brigadier Julius Maada Bio has been exposed yet again and this time the Inspector General of Police, Alieu Munu, has issued a stern warning to the Presidential Candidate of the main opposition Sierra Leone Peoples’ Party (SLPP) for his defiance, disobedience, and lawlessness to state authorities.
In his full-bodied public notice the police boss noted that past Friday in the east of Freetown, Bio ignored both the verbal instructions and the stop signal of the police and bulldozed his way through thereby obstructing the passage of the presidential convoy which incident almost led to a confrontation by his bodyguards and the presidential security guards. An incident that caused fear, panic and also threatened peace and security.
“Police Headquarters view the action of Rtd. Brigadier Julius Maada Bio as disregard for law and order and a threat to security” the Inspector General slammed and further issued a stern warning that ‘such a disregard will not be tolerated in future’.
It could be recalled that this is not the first time the SLPP flag bearer has attempted to blockade the convoy of the first gentleman of the republic.
