Minister assures President Koroma of 80% votes in Eastern region

The Hon. Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hon Joseph Bandabla Dauda aka Jam Body for development has over the weekend assured the president of the republic of Sierra Leone Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma of getting a high number of votes come November 17 in this year’s election, more than ever in the past elections.  The minister made this statement during the official opening and commissioning of the Kenema shopping plaza when he was addressing the general public at the opening.

Hon. Dauda went on to say that gone are the days where Sierra Leoneans vote on party or color base but rather now vote on individual performance or what the individual has done for his or her community or country.  And it is based on this that he has assured the president that come November 17 this year president Koroma will get 80% votes cast from the eastern region and not only getting the 80% votes but that there will be no second ran but one crick in the forthcoming election which will take president Koroma back to State House.

The Hon. Minister reiterated that he is not assuring president Koroma of getting 80% votes but rather he is assuring president Koroma that come November 17 this year the APC party will have councilors and members of parliament who represent the APC party in both Kailahun, Kono and City and District councils and also there will be APC members of parliament in the House of Parliament from both Kailahun, Kono and Kenema district representing APC party and not all for SLPP this time round.

The Hon. minister added that the eastern area is no more a strong hold of the main opposition SLPP but rather the strong hold of the ruling APC who have brought a lot development to the people of eastern region, more especially Kenema and Kailahun.
