Cluff Gold re-brands to Amara Mining plc
Cluff Gold plc has officially rebranded to Amara Mining plc to reflect the start of a new era for the company as it moves closer to its goal of becoming a larger gold producer.
The company is about to reach a number of significant milestones at its assets in Sierra Leone, Cote d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso.
This is not a takeover of the company, Amara Mining plc is the same company as Cluff Gold plc with the same management, operational teams, shareholders and assets, Mr. Alusine Jalloh Country Manager of Cluff Gold Sierra Leone told the press in Freetown.
He said “Amara is a word of African Origin which also means grace, eternal, and immortal, the Cluff Gold plc logo has also been changed to a fern which is a West African adinkra (symbol) that represents endurance and resourcefulness,” he added.
“We want to differentiate ourselves from other Cluff companies around the world,” Mr. Jalloh reiterated.
The names of the subsidiary companies in West Africa will remain the same like Cluff Gold Sierra Leone, he assured.
Cluff Gold Sierra Leone will be retaining its name and the new logo of the fern will be adopted gradually, he said
The country manager said the management and operational team of the parent company have also not changed, and that the Baomahun Gold Project is still 100% owned by the company, whilst office and email addresses and existing telephone numbers remains the same.
Mr. Jalloh said a competition was held for employees to suggest new names ensuring they were all engaged with the process before the name Amara Mining Plc was arrived at.
Only the new logo will be rolled out to subsidiary companies and they will retain their existing names, the Country Manager of Cluff Gold Sierra Leone Alusine Jalloh affirmed.
