Frittering away precious time in an attempt to respond to a political insurgent like Foday Morris is suggestive of whipping a dysfunctional colt

Although President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma is an intelligent and gallant leader, he needs sincere support from the APC-Worldwide forum and related entities to enhance successful sociopolitical organizing

The APC-Worldwide@googlegroups.com  forum is a charmingly significant communication networking system that shouldn’t be allowed to be misused neither by APC supporters nor by outsiders whose ill motives are focused on disorganizing the APC. Meanwhile, the establishment of that global political forum should be viewed like an institution that should and can always promote political harmony among Sierra Leone based political leaders, administrators and bureaucrats and the various communities in the Diaspora. It shouldn’t be used like a focal point to instigate violent interactions and false accusations. Expectedly, the forum is one of the most important political centers for shared organizing by APC fans. Nonetheless, it is being misused to orchestrate disrespectful attacks against the people intended to be bullied and precluded from APC politicking. Thus, I have no plans to ever use that round-table for any networking unless it discourages spitefulness and browbeating.

I respect the organizers, sponsors and moderators of the APC worldwide forum because of their resourcefulness and good intentions aligned with promoting the affairs of the APC. However, I regret the wretchedness demonstrated in it by a few undesirable characters.

It appears as if there is no one to cast blame on for some of the forum’s reckless networking, because I’m not sure if someone has control over regulating its functioning.  I was very enthused when I at first read about the establishment of a worldwide APC forum. Based on my expectation, I was of the opinion that it will serve as a center for reunification and sociopolitical reorganizing of frenzy APC supporters and peeved organizers.

Nevertheless, it took a different itinerary, that skipped transformational politicking. After many years of political bickering, including four years of stumbling upon castigations perpetrated by military tyrants as well as nearly 12 years of coercive preclusion from active politics by political rivals, I thought that the APC’s come back to power in September 2007 was good enough for the reinstitution of political pluralism. Besides, after the APC regained power, it was hoped that the APC party’s almost 16 years out of governance, might have admonished its leaders to initiate the exploration of a system of political unity, intended to influence the voting public and the international community to bestow leadership opportunity with related privileges to the APC administration and allow it to prove its mettle of partisan leadership, while demonstrating international standards of democratization. Central to what they inherited, it’s worthy to praise its administration for the courage and patience its leadership is executing in trying to let ends meet.

Not recounting the party’s missteps since it regained national leadership; APC has been governing according to its leadership’s ability to lead. Like many others, I commend President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma for governing the nation the way he can under various political tensions that appear to be teasing his leadership. Bravo to you President Dr. E. B. Koroma for your intelligence and gallantry in responding to some of our nation’s problems. I pray and hope that the year 2010 will bring positive changes in your APC administration so that you’ll be in a better position to be doing what is right for our nation.

In the meantime, some of the political entities like the APC worldwide forum that are supposed to be promoting  APC’s social organizing are instigating confusions and disunity among its members, which silliness is self-destructiveness. To the contrary, the worldwide forum that is supposed to be bridging the spirit of togetherness in order to gain more political support nationwide is more of a divider than a unitary organization because it is being infiltrated by corruptive outsiders.

In my mind, being that 2010 is the end of the ‘First Tenth of the 21^st Century’, I suggest that this is the time for right-minded citizens of Sierra Leone to support President Koroma and his administration towards engaging in demonstrating the understanding that can facilitate respectful negotiations to enhance compromising of our holdbacks through social organizing. It’s only when we discourage violent and provocative interactions in our efforts to rebuild our country that we might gradually approach the platform of togetherness like a unified nation.

With the spirit of shared national development in our minds, we should always explore respectful disagreements in outlining our differences such that our healthy conversations will eventually result in collective agreements as we progress alongside the sociopolitical development of our nation.
