Friend Murdered for Clothes
Ishmael Kanu of No 16 Mends Street, Freetown, on Monday 17th, appeared before Magistrate Steven Conteh, of the Freetown Magistrates Court No1 on the allegation of murdering his own friend Bankole Crispin Pratt.
Principal Witness, Kelmark Conteh testified in the well of court that the accused and the victim had a bitter argument over clothing which the deceased borrowed to the accused, noting that on that fateful Monday 3rd, at the house of the deceased, the accused was intoxicated with anger saying that the deceased had developed the habit of molesting colleagues who usually borrowed clothes from him.
The argument later ensued into a fight in which the deceased was stabbed in the abdominal area, and both sides of the head, resulting in his death.
The matter was adjourned to Wednesday September 19th.
