Kargbo up for Carthage test

Sierra Leone skipper and Baku midfielder Ibrahim Obreh Kargbo whose ban has been lifted by the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) to face Tunisia believes Leone Star’s encounter against the Eagles of Carthage from Tunisia this weekend will be a test and a good indication of team spirit.

The former Feyenoord, Sporting Charleroi and Willem 11 defensive midfielder (in photo) told Sierra Express Media Sports UK that the National team has developed a lot and this is the time to prove the critics wronged.

“We are working towards the 2013 AFCON tournament and the clash against Tunisia is a massive test and after full time it will give us an indication of where we are.”

“Recently we have played Egypt, we took four points in both legs so I can say yes it is going to be tough, but I can’t underestimate our chances, it is there for all to see.”

“The North Africans are very tough opponents but I have great belief that victory at home will go a long way to see us in South Africa 2013.

Leone Stars of Sierra Leone are presently 59th in the global ranking and 11th in Africa, while their opponent lies 41st in the world and 7th in Africa.

This is a contest of two sides that has been very much impressive in the last few years.

“We are aware this will not be an easy match and this should be a good test for all of us,” he said.
