Sierra Leone’s Ms. University Africa Contestant Jets In

Ramzain Suma, Sierra Leone’s participant to the Miss University Africa contest in Nigeria,  has expressed resentment over the reckless and lackluster of attitude of the government towards her trip and participation in the all-important contest.

Expressing her grief at a press briefing, Ramzain Suma who was crowned the most creative queen on camp disclosed that she was able to grab one of the two trophies in the contest in pite of the neglect that she experienced from the government. She boasted that if she had got the support of the government which she sought in vein, she would have brought the crown for the people of this country.

Ramzain retorted that the pageant commenced with a two week grooming in which the judges also looked at the inner beauty of contestants. Miss Creativity believed that if she would have been allowed to meet with the President before her trip she would have received assistance from him. “The Minister did not treat the contest with any amount of seriousness. I almost lost hope because I had no one to sponsor me and no one to buy my ticket. I had no option but to call the organizers of the pageant and explain my problems after which they provided my air ticket,” she complained. Ramzain also disclosed that she was the only contestant without a chaperone which she considered to be very disgraceful.

Ramzain however expressed appreciation to the Director of Political Affairs, Karamoh Kabbah, who played a great role in her preparation for the trip.
