Madam-Aminata Ishmael who is aspiring on a red ticket for Constituency 112 told the jam packed gathering including supporters, technical crew, executive members, players and well wishers that the donations are not done in the name of politics because according to her, she has been doling out similar gestures to other football teams, school children, the under privileged and the destitute. She maintained that “ I am residing at Lumley and it is my responsibility to help the community team as they are preparing for the much trumpeted Central One football association competition at the Parade grounds”. The female aspirant vowed to continually witness Lumley Strikers FC usual training sessions and promised to lead Lumley Strikers FC delegation and team to Parade grounds in their COFA opening fixtures.
The head coach of the team, Kemokai Kalloh thanked Madam Aminata Ishmael for the timely gesture and hoped that other well-meaning members of the community will emulate Madam Aminata Ishmael’s admirable example.
MAFA scribe, Mr. Denzil Collier assured the donor that the set of football jerseys will be used for the rightful purposes, adding that she is indeed a Philanthropist as she has also constructed a toilet within the community at Beach road, and has also rendered a lot of assistance to the Lumley community.
