2012 London Olympics – Two Sierra Leonean athletes compete today

Ibrahim Turay will be competing in the 200 meters in the morning hours while Ola Sesay will be competing in the Long Jump in the evening. This is the first time both athletes are competing in the Olympic Games.
Speaking to this medium from their training session yesterday in London, both athletes said that they are going to do their best to make sure that they qualify to the next stage of the competition.
The head coach, Abu Batalomen Kamara aka Abu Whyte said that he has prepared the two athletes ahead of the competition but said it is not going to be an easy task for Ibrahim Turay in the 200 metres as he is competing against world class athletes such as Bolt, Blake, and host of others.
Whilst Ola Sesay, even though this is her first Olympic Games, believes she can make it up to the final and hopefully eventually secure a medal. Ola has a lot of experience in Long Jump and has competed with against many in the Commonwealth games and host of other games.
Ibrahim Turay has been placed in heat two with 8 other athletes:
