Bambay Kamara’s Son & others Protest at American Embassy

Members of the aggrieved families staged this peaceful protest action on Tuesday July 31 marching to the embassy with the slogan “seeking justice” for their family members, who they say were killed cold-bloodedly by the former NPRC regime without following the due process of the law. Sierra Express Media reporter engaged the pioneer of them, Julius Bambay-Kamara in an interview. He intimated to this press that their new initiative to register their protest to the American Embassy is due to the fact that Americans have a culture to always fight against human rights abusers.

“It is no news that the foreign policy of the American nation kicks against human rights abuse, so taking the matter this far rests with the spirit of the American culture, considering their past records in championing the fight against human rights abusers”, he stated.

He maintained that the American Ambassador, Michael Owen is the political voice of his nation back home, and their cries will awake the spirits of conscience that is waning down the drains.

Julius Bambay-Kamara said their protest action was born out of a promise they made in their previous protest action at the cotton tree square without circumventing the due process of the law. He said “in our Twenty One Days (21) ultimatum of a coronary inquiry slated for protest action. There was a condition that the government should address our cries within this period but they treated the issue with levity”.

Julius said they will only call their protest action off if their conditions are met.
