Undoubtedly the female competition in Makeni has been rated as the most competitive so far since  the 2012  U-17 Airtel Rising Stars regional tournament commenced few weeks ago.

In the male final, Habib K. Kamara puts Santos Maria in the 37th minute but was cancelled eight minutes later when Komrabai Mansaray lobbed in a free-kick to the far right corner. Alhaji Tarawalley restored Santos Maria's lead in the 50th minute as he converted a penalty kick.

As expected talents emerged in both categories and they'll always be remembered in Makeni for their impressive performances throughout the tournament.

They are Marie B. Conteh who was deservedly named the best female player of the tournament, team mates Kadiatu M. Kamara, Hawa Bockarie and goalkeeper Isatu Dumbuya as well as Suba United's Maltida Mansaray.
