FDID Prepare Youths for Violence Free Elections
Following the spate of political violence in Bo City were the flag bearer of the main opposition party, the Sierra Leone Peoples Party Julius Maada Bio was stoned on his head resulting to head injures, the leading organization for youths on Drugs, Foundation for Democratic Initiative and Development has engaged six ghettoes in the New site Community in Bo to host two political party offices PMDC and APC for violent free elections.
The Director, Hindowa Emmanuel Saidu said the community is prone to political violence hence the need to prepare their minds beforehand. He said on July 17th of this year his organization visited youths in ghettos to inform them that nobody’s political ambition is worth their blood and therefore they should not encourage anybody regardless of his/her political affiliation to mislead them into political violence noting that politics is about choice development and not war.
