Saudi Arabia Announces Start of Fasting
The holy month of Ramadan, when Muslims fast from dawn to dusk, for a period of 29 or 30 days commences today, 20th July, 2012, announced the Royal Court in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia today, quoting the Supreme Court.
A few days ago, the Supreme Court called upon the general public to look out for the crescent of the blessed month of Ramadan by naked eyes or through binoculars and report to the nearest court to register their testimony, or report to the authority of the region’s governorate.
The Supreme Court also urged all Muslims to sight the Crescent for the cooperation of all Muslims in righteousness and piety.
