Child abductor to face court soon

Line Manager of the Ross Road Police Division, Mary Maculley has intimated this press that the Division is currently investigating a case of a stolen child.

She said the accused named Aminata Abu of Main Waterloo road, left one night to visit her fiancé, Sullay a resident of 30 Mambaridge Moyiba when a six year old Fatmata Sesay was  suddenly missing.

She explained that Aminata Abu the (accused) was at large ever since the day the young girl Fatmata Sesay was missing, the manager revealed that the (accused) sudden disappearance created a hunch that she might be the culprit over the missing child.

She explained further that after few months of investigations, they received a tip off that the accused was seen with the missing child, she said that it was at this time that she was chased and arrested in Kambia District on June 3rd , while trying to escape using the border route of the neighboring country Guinea.

Mother of the stolen child Mariatu Sesay, said that she is quite surprised to have discovered that her child was stolen by her friend – the accused.

She said that on the very day the child was missing, she escorted the accused person to some distance, visiting her fiance. According to the police, the issue is soon going to be charged to court.
