NPA’s Black Out is Too Bad

We are often affected by the rude experience of power cuts often done by the service provider, National Power Authority. They often do so with impunity irrespective of the fact they know they are selling their electricity supply like any other available commodities.

This issue should not be power cut but money cut (i.e., if units in the meter are exhausted, one should be out of supply, but NPA’s case is different here.  One would have his/her units intact and got deceived of the services.  This is rare in the central district of Freetown, but it is almost becoming a denial habit for clients in the east part of the city, say Kissy to Wellington, to Calaba town and so forth.  It is either area portion of electricity or total none supply. This is bad especially at a time when electricity is being counted in the list of political achievements the current government has got. The other day one was watching Usu Boie’s crossover event being broadcast by the SLBC, little just after president Koroma has just boasted of his achievement of regular power supply in the city when light went off in the entire Calaba town vicinity till the other weekend electricity is a commodity new are paying for, we deserve a supply and it should not be taken abruptly.

NPA should learn from their colleague service providers, Guma Valley Water Company, if there is an anticipation shortage of water supply in the city they would put out a public notice, informing its consumers appropriately. We deserve to be equally treated same by NPA, Lonta!!
