Craig Bellamy Foundation Scouting – Sunday 1st July – Fourah Bay Field 8:00 am
On Sunday 1st July the Craig Bellamy Foundation will be conducting their second and final scouting event of 2012 for the Western Area. The event is to be held at the Fourah Bay Field, with registrations beginning at 8:00 a.m.
The Craig Bellamy Foundation Academy is inviting all young footballers who are aged 9, 10, and 11 years of age, and who weigh under 35kg to come along to the event and try to win a place at the CBF Academy beginning in September.
Those lucky few who are selected from the National Scouting programme, which at its conclusion will have looked at over 5,000 children from across Sierra Leone, will be offered 5-year scholarships to attend the CBF Academy in Tombo – Sierra Leone’s only residential football academy, and the country’s leading sports facility.
In addition to full time football training available at the Academy, students will also receive a top-class international education, and be eligible for numerous sporting and academic opportunities in the future.
It is expected that over 500 children will be present to showcase their skills in front of the on-looking coaches from the CBF Academy, so we urge all those who wish to be considered to arrive early so they can register on time.
