“Sierra Leone Medical profession suffers from Brain Drain” says ADB manager

Dr. Osubor Gregory, Task Manager, African Development Bank has said in Freetown that the country’s medical profession is suffering from brain drain. He made this statement when addressing the newly trained Sierra Leonean nurses on peri–operative and critical nursing care in Ghana under the strengthening District Health Service project in Bo, Kenema, Bonthe, Port Loko and Tonkolili District. Noting that the nine senior nurses will go a long way in bridging the gap for quality health care delivery service in Government Health Facilities.

The Coordinator, strengthening District Health Service projects, Dr. Alhassan Seisay remind the newly trained nurses about their role in building a sound system in their various units which he said is to impart the Knowledge gained to their juniors.

The nurses thanked the Government and the Africa Development Bank for the support to upgrade their status.
