“President Koroma and I Share the Same Vision…” says Usu Boie

Former Presidential flag bearer-aspirant of the opposition, Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP), Alhaji Usman Boie Kamara (in photo) has disclosed to a crowd of Mount Aureol Women’s Development Organization (MAWDO) that he has decided to officially join President Koroma in the All People’s Congress Party (APC) to continue in the good spirit of developing the country and said the date on which he would do so is June 9th.

Addressing cross sections of the Mount Aureol community residents, UBK revealed that he has decided to pitch tent with President Koroma’s APC come the 9th of June, singularly because they both share a similar vision in ameliorating the suffering of the poor masses and share a quest with him to streamline the unemployment scourge which is plaguing the lives of many people in the country.

He told the crowd that June 9th is a day of spring, and urged the Mount Aureol Women Development Organisation (MAWDO) and the people of Mount Aureol community to support him in their numbers to grace the occasion as he said they are the pillars of his support groups.

Mr. Boie said MAWDO was established among other things to showcase women’s talents in nation building adding that he has always considered women as development partners.  He noted amongst many achievements, that the ideals upon which MAWDO has exhibited talent of  women in state governance is one that calls for a thousand applauds.

Talking tough on the issue of unemployment Alhaji Usman Boie Kamara said there is a dire need to address the rate of unemployment amongst youths in the country. This is how he laid it: “The president alone cannot develop our country without the efforts of his people. Women have contributed extremely well in certain areas for which they deserve a tap on the back, they must be acknowledged for their efforts in trying to develop Mama Salone”.

Usman Boie advised MAWDO to continue with their skills development in helping out the girl child to reach the apex of achieving their aims and objectives in society. He also encouraged the organisation to turn its eye to operations in other parts of the country.

The Scribe of MAWDO, Madam Jatu Sandy lavished praise on Mr. Kamara for his support and contributions in his humanatarian efforts and assured him that their support for him will be massive and unfailing come June 9th.

Chairlady, Isatu Sesay lending her voice to the issue pointed out that the organisation’s relationship with Alhaji Usman Boie Kamara is one that cannot be easily divorced.

The Sierra Leone Market Women and Traders Development Foundation (FAMBUL) spokesman Abdul Akim Kamara (AKA Bor-bor for ein Mot) admonished the gathering by cementing the issue that Alhaji Usman Boie Kamara is a gem in politics and his political marriage with the ( APC) come the 9th is a blessing to the people of this country.

  • Just have a question for USU Boie: If you & President Koroma had the same vision, why did you want to gain the SLPP flagbearership, to challenge the same vision? Do not you think you are an oppurtunist, and Sierra Leone do not such politicians as you. Is it because you lost the flagbearership, then suddenly you now share the same vision? Your quest for power will someday land you in the same plight as Minah, Taqi & Fornahs. Lonta!
