“One Bag Rice to Each Police” – President Koroma Assures
President Ernest Koroma announced on Friday May 25 last week at police barracks Kingtom that each member of the Sierra Leone Police Force (SLP) shall be receiving a bag of rice each adding to their take home packages.
President Koroma made the disclosure at a handing over ceremony of 52 vehicles procured to enhance the police’s mobile efficiency while dispensing their various duties.
The ceremony witnessed high powered delegation from the executive and the Sierra Leone Police Force. President Koroma addressed the crowd that as part of his plan to upgrade the security status of the country and in order to alleviate the suffering of his peoples especially the (SLP); his Government has ordered the Ministry of Finance to arrange the said package for the Institution which is forthcoming starting the end of this month.
Speaking on the issue the Inspector General of the Sierra Leone Police (IG) Francis Allieu Munu thanked the President for such a generous gesture.
He assured the president that the newly donated vehicles and the bag of rice will not only help the police as an institution, but will fast track it operation to be effective.
Master of ceremony AIGP Morie Lengor gave the vote of thanks on behalf of the Inspector General, Francis Munu.
The ceremony was climaxed in fanfare as the jubilant police personnel and officers paraded with joy and assured confidence.
