Ross Road Police impound suspect container
Police at Ross Road Division in the east of the capital Freetown have impounded a container suspected of carrying precious mineral substance on Tuesday May 15 at the Bailor Barry’s complex on Bai Bureh Road, via Bommeh Kissy Dockyard.
Speaking to Sierra Express Media, AIG Mustapha Kamara in charge of the Eastern Division in the search led party said the Ministry of Mines and Mineral resources should conduct a test on the suspected specimen on board the container.
Police A. Y Kallokoh attached at the Ross Road Police Division said they discovered some particles suspected to be gold and other precious minerals with the daughter of the late Bailor Barry answering as prime suspect for the contraband goods.
The officer said the container in question has been at the Queen Elizabeth II quay since December 8th last year.
