Belgium Sellers go mad over Koroma’s $60,000

Youth sellers at Belgium, King Jimmy, west central of the capital Freetown went wild on Thursday April 19 last week in a reactionary protest after they discovered that the substantial money President Koroma gave them for the purpose of developing their community has been siphoned by certain members of the Belgium Youth Sellers Association.

Speaking to the chairman of the Belgium Sellers Associations, Arthur Davies, he said they discovered that President Koroma doled cash out to them which certain members of their association want to embezzle into their personal pockets.

Arthur furthered that the miscreants would have remained cold over the issue had it not been for Mrs. Zainab Sheriff, President Koroma’s niece  revealing to them that his Excellency has done much for the Belgium Seller wherein she included his recent donation of US $60,000.

The Chairman said they are currently withholding the names of those involved as they are trying to calm the situation to avoid a possible spillover effect that is bad for everybody.

He said the President has sent a special team of representatives to solve the problem.
