No clearance for Arrie Bio
Reports indicate that the Old Bo Boys Association (OBBA) turned their annual school celebration into a political masquerade. Sources close to this press intimate that OBBA asked the police to issue them a license to pull out a masquerade called “Arrie” Bio as part of the exercise process, which sources say was not given the green light by the police. Bo School which was established in 1906, built purposely on the political backdrops of educating the sons of the ruling houses (Chiefs), has today turned its academic establishment to a politically established institution.
The occasion which was supposed to be conducted on a simple academic process was marred with greens and political cultural shows, to demonstrate the ascribed status of being the strongest of hold of the Sierra Leone People’s Party.
Sources further revealed that the presidential flag bearer, Julius Maida Bio was paraded in a grand chiefly ceremonial style in the host of the august gathering, which was intended to humiliate President Koroma.
Sources say students as well as ordinary people constituted themselves into groups putting on attire that pointed to the SLPP. What surprised a cross section of the public was the fact that women were seen as active actors in the male chauvinistic OBBA exercise.
