Ecobank computers are down
Staff at the Pan African bank, Ecobank were working under duress in the morning hours of Tuesday following failure of their computer system to relay data transactions. Customers went berserk as they ran out of patience.
Public Relation Officer of the bank, Hannah Fullah, said they are experiencing computer problems of late which resulted in delaying hundreds of their customers.
By 9 a.m. in the morning the banking hall was full of disgruntled customers waiting long hours to cash out and transfer their monies having exhausted their wallets over the Easter holidays.
One customer told our SEM reporter at the bank yesterday morning that she could not do withdrawals at the bank since last week as the system has been down. Another customer who went to withdraw money for her business said she could not access it due to the same fault.
