FC Kallon defeats league leaders
Defending Runners-Up FC Kallon thumped league leaders Diamond Stars by 1-0 on Sunday April 1st, at the National Stadium main bowl.
Salifu Samura converted a right wing cross to score the only goal which separated the two sides in the mid of first half.
Mohamed Kallon captained his side in place of the suspended Ibrahim Kallay and Lansana Kamara was missing as he traveled to Sweden to negotiate a loan deal.
The match was fascinating in the first half with equal ball possession. Diamond Stars were impressive in the second half as they came close to level the score before the hour mark.
FC Kallon carried the day and Coach Lamin Bangura of Diamond stars was stormed with the setback as they have dropped yet another vital three points in the race.
