Grasshoppers invade Kambia farms – Over 200 farmers have complained the recent invasion of grasshoppers at Kamasasa, Madina, Kamawala and Bayamba in the Kambia District, Northern Sierra Leone.

According to the farmers, the insects are now devouring their farms leading to them realizing a poor yield. According to the Exclusive Newspaper, Unisa Sesay a farmer said the grasshopper’s invasion has caused serious setback to their farming activities.

USL awards best 29 students – The University of Sierra Leone on Thursday March 22^nd awarded 29 scholarships to students that have excelled in their various academic works including four staff of the university who were awarded for their dedication and hard work.

Among the awardees are Sayo Kamara and Mohamed Faray Kargbo of Kargbo of FM98.1 Radio Democracy.
