Constituency 47 endorses Akmed Femi Mansaray
Akmed Femi Mansaray (in photo) has been endorsed by his people in a popular handpicking ceremony, organized this week in the Bafodia/Fadugu chiefdoms, in the Koinadugu District, Kabala, Northern Sierra Leone.
His people told Sierra Express Media during the occasion that Akmed Mansaray is the man who should represent them this time in parliament.
Akmed Mansaray said he decided to vie for the Member of Parliament position under the All People’s Congress because he sees unique features in president Koroma’s leadership.
Akmed Mansaray, a former police officer said he has been serving his people in many capacities from development to personal assistance. He recalled that he has been helping a little way to promote the future of Sierra Leone through his self inspired charities abroad where he currently resides. Akmed Mansaray said President Koroma’s development strides in most of the major sectors inspired him personally as a Sierra Leonean. He said President Koroma visited them in the United Kingdom and extended an open call for the likes of them to come home and help in developing Sierra Leone. “To answer your question, I feel there is progress in the leadership of His Excellency Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, so I decided to follow his right path”.
Akmed Mansaray is contesting against Hon Philipson Koroma who his constituents said failed them without delivering social amenities projects like the provision of pure and safe drinking water, good feeder roads, hospital and medical facilities and said even the only primary school that existed in the chiefdom has lasted a period of over fifty years without renovation.
Akmed said he is not the people’s judge and that when he came back his people approached him for the position upon the belief that as a true son of the soil is au fait with his people’s constraints to equally transform their suffering into delight and development.
