Assassins attack Afsatu Kabbah

Assassins attack Afsatu Kabbah

Armed men Monday 13th, 3 a.m. attacked the home of a popular female politician, Afsatu Kabbah (in photo), at Femi Turner Drive Goderich with intent to ‘harm’ or ‘assassinate’ her.

Police sources say the attackers gained access into the house using an iron bar to cut down steel metals on a window at the back of the house.

The attackers, police disclosed, paid no attention to items found at the down and upstairs of the house, but relatively Afsatu.

Their target, they revealed, was Afsatu whom, as at time of the attack was at her home and in her bedroom resting.  They revealed nevertheless that the attackers did enter the house, but confirmed they did not steal anything.

It is revealed also that the thieves could have swept clean the down and upstairs apartments had their intention been to steal.

The attackers abandoned valuables worth millions and hurriedly climbed the steps leading to the upstairs apartment where eventually they attempted gaining access to the bedroom of Afsatu , but failed owing to her (Afsatu) alertness and security vigilance.

In a telephone interview, Afsatu said that she was in her bedroom Monday 13th and at 3 a.m woke up to do her usual midnight prayers when suddenly she observed footsteps at the upstairs near her bedroom.

“I was stunned, but thought it was my son that was disturbing,” she said. “But because it was odd hours, I did not underrate my observation at all and as a result immediately shouted asking ‘who’s that.’ It was then that I observed the footsteps of individuals on steps leading to the downstairs.”

“They are no thieves, but assassins,” she emphasized. “They possibly may have come to harm me, and that is why they’ve paid no attention to valuables at the down and upstairs apartment, rather targeted just me though.”

“Not one of my property was taken away by the attackers at all, their concern was me.”

“Just when one of the attackers opened my bedroom door to carry out their mission, he was shocked to see me awake, advancing to his direction. I am sure he must have thought I have had a weapon with me, so he was left without option but hurriedly joined his colleagues  downstairs where they all together made their exit.”

“Thank God I was wakefully alert and have not allowed them to go about their mission as planned.”

The anti robbery syndicate of the Sierra Leone police is investigating the matter.
