Thanksgiving Service to Mark End of a Week-Long Prayer for Sierra Leone

The Embassy of the Republic of Sierra Leone, heeding to His Excellency President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma’s call for national week of prayer, invites all Sierra Leoneans and Friends of Sierra Leone to join His Excellency Ambassador Bockari Kortu Stevens at a Thanksgiving service on Friday 20th and Sunday 22nd January, 2012.

The Muslim prayers will be held at the Ebilleh Cultural Organization Center, 3307 Hubbard Road Hyattsville, Maryland, 20785 at 1:00 p.m. and the Christian service at the Our Savior Episcopal Church, 1700 Powder Mill Road, Silver Spring, Maryland 20903 at 10:00 a.m.  

This thanksgiving service marks the end of a week of prayers for peace, prosperity and great transformation of the Republic of Sierra Leone.

The week of prayer was declared by His Excellency the President, Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma in his New Year’s address to the nation.
