Ripstar Culture Foundation to Boost Salone
Ripstar Culture Foundation partnered by an organization in Finland (Children Crossing Cultures) which in the recent years has been promoting Culture and soccer in Sierra Leone will support cultural exchange and multi-culturalism between the Republic of Sierra Leone and Scandinavian Europe.
Ripstar Foundation work towards empowering women and girls in Sierra Leone through Cultural curriculums.
The Public Relations Officer, Sana Peit is reportedly due in Freetown in January 2012 to engage state actors provide the organization with a piece of land for the full implementations of the All Culture Programme countrywide.
All Cultures Programme is affiliated with European Union project prod forum and Etnokult.
Ripstar Culture has also partnered with other organizations including Central Cultural Promoters, White Flag Movement and Culture Radio on issues surrounding culture and will be organizing a Jollay Festival on 14th January 2012.
Speaking to this press, founding member of Ripstar Culture Foundation, Abdulai Kamara aka Obi-Phrase, appreciates the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs for supporting the proposed Jollay Festival and Football Gala scheduled to take place at the Parade ground in Central Freetown.
He noted however that Ripstar Culture Foundation has promoted live band music as well as football in Sierra Leone and Europe.
He said the Foundation caters for footballers to play international football.
Obi-Phrase boasts that Ripstar Culture Foundation was awarded for its musical performance during the Sierra Leone 50th Anniversary Celebrations.
