Delegation from Arab Emirates arrive in Sierra Leone

The delegation which is led by Sierra Leone’s Foreign Minister Mr. JB Dauda also includes Information and Communications Minister Hon. Alhaji Ibrahim Ben Kargbo , Minister of Political and Public Affairs, Alpha Kanu , Sierra Leone’s Special Envoy to UAE and other gulf countries, Mr. Siray Timbo and Sierra Leone’s Trade Commissioner to UAE and GCC Mr. Bahige Annan .
The delegation visited the Foreign Minister of UAE, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, where Hon. J.B Dauda delivered a special message of greetings and congratulations for the 40th Anniversary of the creation of the Union of UAE from Sierra Leone’s President H.E. Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma.
At the meeting which lasted close to two hours, The Foreign Minister of Sierra Leone Mr. JB Dauda and his colleagues presented a long list of programs and projects which had earlier been identified by both UAE and Sierra Leone as points of bilateral collaboration .
The issues raised by the delegation included aspects relating to Food Security, Infrastructure Development in Sierra Leone , The rebranding of Sierra Leone, Telecommunications, President Koroma’s Free Health Care project and the strengthening of diplomatic ties between the two countries .
The UAE Foreign Minister His Highness Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan assured the delegation that his country would continue to promote bilateral relations with Sierra Leone and also instructed that the delegation meets other institution with public and private sector relevant to the visit .
The delegation continues with it’s tour and meeting in Abu Dhabi with the relevant institution during the next two day.
