Lions sign eight new players

Barely a month as team manager of East End Lions FC, Tunde Scott has invaded the transfer market ahead of opponent managers thereby signing in eight new faces into the club ahead of the new football season.

Baimba Kamara, Umaru Tapay Suma, Ibrahim Soggoh Kallay, Mohamed Bilili Bangura, Idriss Ribery Scott, Kuku Diaby, Sarh Ghegema, Zachariah Esse, Akoto Scott, Goalkeeper Sarafa, Manbay Satie, and Mohamed Ambrosini Sillah have all been signed as the club’s new players.

Speaking at hisPercival Streetoffice, Tunde Scott said his priority is to sign 15 players, but is yet to reach his target.

“I have a challenge in the coming season,” he said.  “I want my team to crush the likes of FC Kallon and Ports Authority come this year’s Premier league competition.”

He confirmed signing six out of the eight in his list of players.  He said he will complete the signing of the remaining two players today as he is in negotiation with the respective Managers inNorwayand theUSA.

Jose Murhino, as he is popularly called, maintained he intends to sign up15 players for this football season.

“I have the list of players on my shopping list but with the determination of the Executive, we will reach our target,” he said.

“I intend to bring back all the runaway East End Lions supporters to the club,” he continued.

He said he does not only need these players for the league but also for the CAF competitions should his side make it through.  That the signing of Kuku Diaby is welcome news for all supporters of the club as the former Guinean goal king will be leading the striking force of the team.
