South African coach Pitso Mosimane immediately announced that he is disappointed over the decision by the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) to play the two remaining 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifiers with the Olympic squad.

“It really doesn’t affect us much because even if they were using their strongest side we still have a job to do for ourselves, we still have to win our matches,” Mosimane said in a press conference on Monday.

The report further stated that the Sierra Leone Football Association has contacted their Egyptian counterpart, informing them that they have picked 3 September for the 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifier.

“The match will be played in Sierra Leone’s capital, Freetown, in which the weather will be between 25 and 35,” the team director, Alaa Abdel-Aziz was quoted as saying on the association official website.

“Our embassy in Sierra Leone insisted that we must have vaccinations against Typhoid and Malaria,” he added.

The meaningless match for the Pharaohs will be played by the Olympic team, under the helm of Hany Ramzy as part of their preparation for the London Olympic Games.

Egypt’s hopes of reaching next year’s Nations Cup in Equatorial Guinea and Gabon are virtually over after they could only collected two points from their first three games. They are at the bottom of Group G, six points behind leaders South Africa.

Egypt is yet to name a new boss following Hassan Shehata’s departure.

Meanwhile, eleven of the foreign-based players invited by the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) have arrived in Freetown to face Egypt for the 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifier.

They include:

Christian Caulker (Vasteras SK, Sweden)
Ibrahim Koroma (Trelleborg FF, Sweden)
David Simbo (Trelleborg FF, Sweden)
Ibrahim Teteh Bangura (Bursaspor, Turkey)
Umaru ‘Zengelay’ Bangura (FK Haguesund, Norway)
Rodney Strasser (Lecce, Italy)
Kei Kamara (Sporting Kansas City, USA)
Alfred Sankoh (Stromgodset IF, Norway)
Sheriff Suma (FK Ravan, Azerbaijan)
Samuel Barlay (FK Ravan, Azerbaijan)
