SLFA and government urged to prepare for World Cup final in Brazil!
Cross section of Leone Stars players – Christian Caulker, Alfred Sankoh, Medo Kamara, Tetteh and Pobosky Bangura told Sierra Express Media that the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) and the government should ensure that Sierra Leone book a ticket to the 2014 World Cup final in Brazil.
They insist that government and SLFA should start the preparation now if their dreams are to be fulfilled.
The players however told this press that they are ready to take Sierra Leone toRio de Janeiro for the very first time if modalities are in place, noting that with early preparation the team will unfailingly achieve its goal for the coming World Cup.
“The World Cup comes once every five years, so we believe this is our time.”
They maintained that it was not by magic that Angola and Togo made it to the World Cup in 2006, but that their government and the FA paved the way for them.
“If we qualify for the World Cup in 2014, it will serve as a boost to many of our players to be eyed by bigger teams inEurope,” Abu Tommy of Moldavian side FC Sheriff said.
