Sierra Leonean defender wanted by Allsvenskan top clubs
Sierra Leonean defender David Simbo in photo who plays for Sweden’s Division 1 team Motala AIF has been under the radar by several Swedish Allsvenskan league top sides. Reports reaching Sierra Express Sport desk UK indicate that AIK, Trelleborg FF, HBK and OSK are all interested in the service of the lanky defender.
David Simbo is also presently a member of the Sierra Leone National side and he is willing to switch if there is any possibilities from Division 1 to the Allsvenskan league. Simbo who was a member of the Sierra Leone squad that defeated Niger in Freetown told Sierra Express Media that he would like to play along national teammates Ibrahim Koroma in Trelleborg.
“I hope for the best. I would like to play in Trelleborg,” said Simbo currently testing plays with TFF.
The 21-year-old defender can play both centre and right-back and is very good in the air. If this report is anything to go by he will be the fourth Sierra Leonean to play in the Swedish top flight football.
One thing that is certain is that Simbo is talented enough to play in the Swedish top flight after half a season in Division 1 with Motala.
Simbo who is a friend with Trelleborg Ibrahim Koroma will be a good acquisition, said Koroma. “He is good with the ball. There are many who say we are very similar.”
