Kasonko Chiefdom boos Philipson Kamara
Angry youths of Fadugu in the Kasonko Chiefdom Koinadugu District Thursday 30th June 2011 confronted and physically abused one of APC’s bigwigs, Philipson Kamara; aged old retiring APC politician.
It is disclosed that a cross section of APC District Executive members in the Koinadugu District paid a visit to residents of Fadugu Town to respectfully thank them for their immense contributions towards the success of the ruling APC.
That in midst of the visiting APC regional executives was one Dr. Samura, the District Council Chairman and host of other dignitaries.
Findings have it that Philipson Kamara who was not invited to such a meeting cleverly joined the visiting APC executives and was skillfully occupied at one of the high table seats.
His presence annoyed disgruntled and angry youths, who for a number of reasons have vowed no to vote for the APC if Philipson Kamara is given the symbol to contest for the 2012 Parliamentary elections in their constituency.
It is told by our reporter that a token of appreciation in the sum of Le 7 million was donated to indigenes of Fadugu Town and surroundings but was hotly rejected.
Philipson Kamara being in the midst of fed up and displeased residents of Fadugu Town, regretfully received a bashing and very heavy abuse from the audience.
People of Kasonko Chiefdom are reportedly unhappy over the chronic and unremitting existence of Philipson Kamara as their Chiefdom’s political representative.
Sources say that the electorates, on number of times, have asked the APC to impeach Philipson Kamara as their Parliamentary envoy on grounds of ‘under-performance’ but got no positive result at all.
It must be noted that Philipson Kamara has been representing Kasonko Chiefdom for some 34 years now.
In the run up to 2007 elections, he was again awarded the APC symbol and was unanimously voted as the Chiefdom’s Parliamentary courier.
He promised to bring development into Kasonko Chiefdom, but failed woefully.
Thursday 30th was black day for the retiring and under-performing politician. Asked to deliver a statement at the meeting of APC executive at the Fadugu Court Barray, Philipson Kamara was booed at, abused and chased from out of the court’s premises.
He was rushed to Kabala town police station where he finally made a complaint.
