IMC trains media monitors
The Independent Media Commission (IMC) yesterday organized training for national media monitors at radio Mankneh in Makeni town in the Northern Province.
The training cut across representatives from the North and Kono Districts respectively.
The IMC however informs the general public that Commissioners have already arrived on Wednesday 15th, and on the 16th June personnel from the North and Kono for training of national media monitors.
It is revealed also that the training will be extended to Friday 17th and it will cater for Radio Station Managers and Board Chairmen from both the North and Kono District.
Commissioners of the IMC will be traveling to Makeni, Konike Barina Chiefdom Saturday 18th to settle a dispute between the Paramount Chief and the Radio Station.
It is expected that at the conclusion of the training of media monitors, news programmes will experience methodical checks by editors and managers of respective provincial radio stations.
