DSL charts road map for Kono youths
Democracy Sierra Leone (DSL), a local partner ensuring the observance of the principles of democracy in the country, has concluded a successful consultative forum geared towards discussing a road-map for the youths of Kono District.
The event was fully represented by Paramount Chiefs, members of the local government, council, the mining community, and a host of other youth groups.
The Executive Director of DSL, Mr. Warritay hinted to this press via telephone that over the past decades, the youths of Kono District were deserted and as a result, continue to wallow in abject poor condition. He added that mining activities have persistently pillaged the district and there is a dire need to seek a way forward for the development and progress among the youths.
