More interest in Mohamed Bangura… Jens Anderson

A report from Stockholm has reiterated that Sierra Leonean sensational striker Mohamed ‘Pobosky’ Bangura (photo in action for Sierra Leone against Niger) has attracted more interest from European top clubs than ever since his name has dominated the Swedish press.

According to the AIK sports Director Jens Anderson – There is more interest now than early in the spring for the AIK hit-man who was the last season’s saviour for AIK, helping the former champions from relegation with six goals to his name.

“Foreign clubs see him in every game and know by now what a high class he is. And there are more interested clubs now than early in the spring, said sports director Jens Anderson to Soccer Direct.

However, Anderson also confirms no concrete offer has been received by AIK in the spring contrary to last winter.

“ No, but it only makes sense – there’s no transfer window open so it is not surprising,” said Anderson.

Bangura’s contribution has helped his country’s national team to their first victory against the Mena’s of Niger in group G in the race for Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Now he will face the Swedish champions on Sunday when the Allsvenskan continues.

Last winter there was much talk about Sierra Leonean Bangura. Soccer pundits were in much of a debate whether he will stay at AIK after many interested clubs incluing the mega bid from Russia, which the club announced a couple of months ago that they turned down a Russian offer for €2.8 million.
