The Hunter – with MS Biro (the PEN): Piteous mood of Sierra Leoneans

Ceaselessly, the pen has been unveiling the piteous mood of Sierra Leoneans dwelling especially within the circle and municipality of Freetown with regards to the trauma their blood brothers (fellow Sierra Leoneans) have been raining on them for the attention of not necessarily politicians, (for they have been noted for taking the electorate for granted except when election is here), but some genuine God-fearing and influential Sierra Leoneans at home and in the diaspora for a critical examination of the situation and proffering a permanent solution.

If there is any dare-need to employ an appropriate terminology against the ‘poda poda’ drivers it is best we say they are thoughtless, unmindful, inconsiderate, heartless, – you can help the pen with the rest.

Trust me, the police has heard the calls; the quantum of pressure that the police has started exerting on the half ways ‘poda poda’ drivers would definitely bring transport ‘wahala’ to a grinding halt.- a round of applause for that.

We all know that the metric system is here, but at least we have designations on vehicles which like a contract must be observed and fulfill. At this juncture, the pen would like to attract the attention of the government that the drivers are having a motive, and if they seat complacently and enjoy such mess, let them also realize that they have been granted a local PHD (Pull Him Down) syndrome because the cries will always be directed to the government. Therefore, we must keep an eye on these drivers by giving the police the power they desire to polish their devilish attitudes.

For those Sierra Leoneans who believe they are extremely comfortable with the mess at the detriment of the hoepoloe (the destitute) it is high time they buy private vehicles for themselves and allow the police to re-enforce and modernize the attitude of the drivers for the good of all.

Should they in any way prove to be bulwark the police we all know, are therapist on their own. We must all endeavour to cooperate with the police to give this stress a neat burial. Cooperate with the police, now, passengers!
