Bangura cries down pitch but expresses optimism ahead of Niger clash

Bangura told SWASAL after the Leone Stars afternoon training session on Wednesday that the pitch that it is in a poor state of condition and it needs to be well taken care of before the group G encounter.
“The condition of the pitch is not good and something needs to be done to fix it up in time for match,” said Bangura.
He added: “We need to win the match and with a better pitch we can do it. The stadium authorities must go all out to make sure that we play in a decent pitch.
We have the team to defeat Niger and we are well determined to make it happen. I’ve confidence in our team and we’ll carry the day.”
Three other Leone Stars foreign-based players are also optimistic.
The Leone Stars captain Ibrahim Kargbo who is based in Azerbaijan said: “We’ve corrected our mistakes from the Niger game in Niamey in March and I’m confident that we’ll defeat the Nigerians at home.
Ibrahim ‘Teteh’ Bangura who is his club AIK Solna’s leading goal scorer in the on-going Swedish League said: “We know the importance of the match and we are going for a win and I’m sure we’ll get it.”
Norway based Umaru Bangura said: “I’m sure this time round we’ll defeat Niger because we now know how they play. We know the importance of the match as only a win can keep us in the race. We are determined to get the three points.
